Arisaig House is set in magical gardens and wooded grounds facing the sea and numerous small islands, with a spectacular view across the bay to Moidart. The house dates from 1864 and during its time has been a private house, a Relais & Chateaux Hotel and is now run by Sarah Winnington-Ingram as a luxurious family guest house. The main house offers very comfortable accommodation with en-suite bathrooms while the cottages, set within the grounds, are more modest. The house has a tennis court and a billiard table and there is a golf course within ten minutes’ drive. There is also extensive hill and coastal walking and, with Mallaig only ten miles away, boat trips to Skye and other islands are easily accessible. Numbers are limited to a total of 42 adults and it is possible, therefore, that some single people may have to share. For more details on the accommodation and activities, please look at the following website: www.arisaighouse.co.uk
Our week is aimed primarily at those who would relish the chance to take time out and draw closer to God in the midst of a busy working life. There will be a speaker who will give a series of talks in the morning followed by discussion groups and the format for the week will provide ample opportunity for worship, prayer, fellowship and ministry. In the afternoons there will be plenty of time to experience all that the surrounding countryside and seaside has to offer, as well as time in the evenings to relax and enjoy each other’s company following a leisurely dinner.
Due to its small size and its remote setting, this houseparty has a particularly intimate feel. Do come and join us and especially if you have not been on a Stewards’ Trust houseparty before or are thinking about coming again after a period away. We plan to retain a few places for newcomers who will be given priority and consequently we may not be able to confirm any places until early February 2012. Please note that this houseparty starts on Sunday 15 July and finishes after breakfast on Saturday 21 July.
