In 2011 we held a week-end houseparty at Langley Grange for the first time and had such a wonderful time that we have decided to hold one again in 2012, this time for three nights.
Langley Grange, Matthew Hutton's family home is 12 miles south east of Norwich. The house sleeps 18 adults and has an indoor swimming pool, hard tennis court and a mature garden. The maximum number for the houseparty is 34 adults, using additional bedrooms at Matthew & Annie's home and his brother-in-law's cottage (both within a mile or so), but with all meals and meetings happening at Langley Grange.
The houseparty will run from Thursday tea-time to Sunday night). For those who cannot arrive before the Friday, the formal part will start only at Friday lunchtime. We want to provide space for relaxation, conversation and prayer in a happy atmosphere, as we all aim to draw closer to God. There will be the usual times of worship, talks and prayer ministry.
This might be described as something of an "old-style" Stewards Trust houseparty, with guests invited to bring a pudding or a cake and asked to "much in" at mealtimes.
