Stift Urach is the comfortable Lutheran Retreat House in the spa town of Bad Urach set in a forested valley 30km south east of Stuttgart airport. We shall be staying in the heart of this attractive town, with its medieval wood-framed houses in the market square. The retreat house is built round three sides of a quiet garden, with a magnificent Gothic church completing the enclosure. There are attractive historic towns, including Tubingen, within easy reach, and some delightful local walks.
The houseparty begins at 4.00pm on the Sunday and ends after breakfast on Saturday. Guests will need to make their own travel arrangements. Most people are likely to fly to Stuttgart and hire a car at the airport. Town-centre garage parking is available nearby for €5.00 per 48 hours, arranged via the Stift on arrival. Pick-up arrangements at the airport can be made for those not hiring cars.
