This attractive former Benedictine monastery, on the edge of a village, is run as a retreat house by a congregation of French Sisters. It stands on a small peninsular on the picturesque coast 25 km west of St Malo, and has gardens running down to the sea. The accommodation is modern with en-suite bedrooms. The holiday is from 4 pm on Monday 13 September until after breakfast on Sunday 19 September. Please arrange your own travel to Brittany. Most people come by car on the ferry to St Malo – cars are very useful. There are planes to Dinard but probably not on Mondays.
This houseparty is for adults only, married or single, and it provides teaching and refreshment among friends with the opportunity for you to bring your friends too. The retreat house has been a great favourite over the years. The food is good and in the afternoons there are good walks round the peninsular and elsewhere. There is a tennis court in the garden. Dinard and St Malo have golf courses and Dinan is an historic town.
