Like all the houseparties, Uppingham is special and unique in its own way, but what makes it so? Uppingham is a houseparty for EVERYONE. We welcome and plan for all ages, and all stages of the Christian faith (including ‘not so sure’). We also seem to attract a fair number of new families each year, which keeps things fresh and means you won’t be alone if this is your first time.
There’ll be a talk, worship and small groups in the mornings (all ages catered for – children’s groups from 0 to 18), and various activities in afternoons and evenings (usually something sporty, cultural, creative, musical, spiritual or silly). You simply join in with whatever takes your fancy, with babysitting provided every evening to help. Don’t worry, there’s time and space to relax too. After all you’re on holiday.
The school and market town of Uppingham are lovely. Some of the sports facilities (tennis courts and indoor pool) will be brand new this year, and really quite special. There’s also some good golf nearby, various country homes and places of interest to visit, and Rutland water for beautiful walking & cycling.
