April 19 Days of Encouragement prayer requests

Dorset Day of Encouragement (May 18th)

Plans for our Dorset day are progressing well for which we thank the Lord. We have just short of 30 coming and we are still recruiting. It's a healthy mix of Stewards' Trust friends and some local folk in tough sometimes discouraging churches. David Ursell is speaking on vulnerability and the Beatitudes. We would value prayer that the day will be relaxed and easy and that folk will be prepared to share themselves and their experience of living out Jesus amongst their friends and family. John and Sheelagh Rennie

Oxfordshire (20 June)

Please pray that the day will be well attended. This is a day for everyone, men and womena of all ages. Pray too that those who come will be truly encouraged by the day and will gain much from meeting and talking to the other peope there. Pamela King

Past events:

East Anglia (23 March)

Praise God for a wonderful day when over 60 people gathered at Great Notley with Revd Rupert Charkham speaking and Phil Lawson Johnston leading worship. Rupert managed to combine warmth and wisdom with real challenge and there was a great response. A wonderful lunch provided an opportunity for people to meet old friends and make new ones, these connections being an important part of days of encouragement. Altogether a really spiritually encouraging and challenging day. Paemla King

Hampshire (30 March)

Roland and Ruth Guy hosted and led this day for those in rural ministry. The weather was glorious so they were ble to have lunch in the sunshine. They looked at two new areas - strategies for bringing over-stretched couples to the Lord and that, however well done, family services are still less effective than small groups or one-to-one mentoring for real-life changes to happen. The afternoon gave time for prayer for the different church situations represented. Pamela King
