Very sadly, this is my last Bible Email to you after six crazy months working in the Youth Team. I hope these have been as encouraging to read as they have been to write! To close out I thought it only fitting to speak about something pretty fundamental - grace.
There’s a quote on the wall in the office opposite my desk which I stare at quite a lot: “Whenever you doubt your worth, remember the price God paid for you!” I actually don’t think this just applies to when we’re feeling low, or if we’re wrestling with the idea of being ‘good enough’, in fact I think we doubt our worth when we turn from God and set our hearts on things less than Him and His call on our lives.
But we have a God so good and loving that He does not stay out of the mess but he came to Earth and suffered more than we could imagine, taking upon him the sins of the world and giving us His grace. (God's riches at Christ's expense).
“See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God!” 1 John 3:1
You are a child of God, created in His image, I pray you would know your worth today, and experience God's amazing grace.
Much love, Al
P.S. I will be at Monkton, West Buckland 1 and Focus, so I hope to see some of you there!
