Giftings for God's Glory

Hey Lads,

Hope you’ve all had a wonderful week. Recently whilst reading the Bible I’ve come across a guy I’ve never really noticed. His name is Bezalel. Bezalel was an Israelite from the tribe of Judah, and was alive at the time of Moses, in fact he actually worked for Moses.

After Moses led the people of Israel out of Egypt, they spent 40 years walking in the wilderness. During this time they built the Tabernacle which was essentially God’s house. It was a tent where God’s presence dwelled, and it was carried by the Levites (a tribe of Israel). Throughout the book of Exodus God gives Moses instructions about the design of the Tabernacle, then Bezalel and his assistant Oholiab build it. It was grand and extremely elaborate, consisting of many different altars. It was an incredible spectacle for the Israelites and was the place where they came to sacrifice to the Lord.

In Exodus 31:1-3 we read this - ‘Then the Lord said to Moses, “Look, I have specifically chosen Bezalel son of Uri, grandson of Hur, of the tribe of Judah. I have filled him with the Spirit of God, giving him great wisdom, ability, and expertise in all kinds of crafts… He is a master at every craft.’

Here we see that God gave Bezalel incredible talent and creativity, to bring glory to his name. I pray that this week you’ll be able to use the gifts, skills and abilities God’s given you for his glory and fame. I’d love to hear any stories about what happens, feel free to text me on 07454337266.

Love,

Jackson
