Today is a tough day for me. Sad news is never easy to take; however, it is even harder to take when it affects those you hold very close.
When I go through tough times, I find my mind wondering, asking questions like
WHY IS LIFE UNFAIR?
WHY DO GOOD PEOPLE SUFFER?
WHY IS THERE PAIN?
And the honest truth is I don’t have an answer. Those questions are questions that I am going to ask for the rest of my life until I meet with my Father in heaven.
“HE THAT LIVES IN HOPE, DANCES WITHOUT MUSIC” – GEORGE HERBERT.
Yet, I refuse to let my faith waiver. Jesus died and rose from the dead. He has given me HOPE! That HOPE is sometimes all I have to cling on to. Yet, it is that very HOPE that keeps me sane. It is the HOPE that Jesus has defeated Death and that one day we will be in a new earth, new heaven where there is no suffering, no pain and definitely NO TEARS!!
“EVEN THOUGH I WALK THROUGH THE VALLEY OF THE SHADOW OF DEATH, I FEAR NO EVIL, FOR YOU ARE WITH ME; YOUR ROD AND YOUR STAFF, THEY COMFORT ME” – PSALM 23
