Brittany is the ideal destination for a great family get-together. Some like to take advantage of its uncrowded, wide sandy beaches and pleasant climate to enjoy an energetic week surfing, swimming, playing tennis or golf, cycling, horseriding, or sailing. (In July the water is around 23°C). Others may prefer a more relaxing routine painting, walking, or visiting some of the interesting places in the region . . . or perhaps enjoying the tranquillity of the countryside and the excellent French cuisine, from Brittany’s wonderful seafood to its well know “gallettes and cidre”.
Do come and join us at a beautiful hotel near the Golfe du Morbihan on the delightful south Brittany coast. The Domaine de l’Abbatiale on the outskirts of the quaint fishing village of Le Bono combines an old priory building with a modern hotel built around a large open-air swimming pool. All are welcome from aged five up.
We are looking forward to a week that includes times of worship and Bible teaching, with imaginative programmes for children and teenagers in the mornings, and a variety of activities both on and off site in the afternoons. We finish the day with drinks on the terrace, followed by dinner in the hotel’s restaurant.
There are many ways to travel to Brittany and we would be happy to give you information about flights to Nantes (nearest airport), trains, or various ferries (from Dover, Newhaven, Portsmouth etc).
