Masseria Rossella

Location:
Near Piana degli Albanesi, Sicily
Dates:
Thursday 23 May 2019 to Thursday 30 May 2019

Our base for the week is Masseria Rossella, a beautifully restored 18th-century farmstead set in unspoilt hill country an hour from Palermo Airport. The location is wonderful, with extensive views across the countryside, including the Bosco della Ficuzza National Park. The landscape is beautiful at this time of year.

The delicious breakfasts and dinners are prepared using local produce, including olive oil and wine from the estate. The farmstead quadrangle is an oasis of tranquility, ideal for afternoon tea and relaxing after a day in the hills. There is a swimming pool, which can be ‘fresh’.

Each morning, after breakfast, we gather for worship, reflection and to share the Word. In the early evening, before drinks and dinner, time is set aside for prayer and intercession.

Walking boots and a daypack for your picnic and clothing are essential; the walks can be both adventurous and lengthy.

A day is usually set aside for sightseeing.

There are regular flights to Palermo from the UK.
